Red face TPS Help/pics

I'm having a real problem getting my TPS set up on my 91 Vert. I searched the forum for the info but it doesn't seem to be there. I believe that the TPS on my vert was replaced and not set up correctly by the previous owner. I've gone through the manual and checked it electrically with the test light and an ohm meter but it doesnt want to set up. The manual says not to adjust it because the ECU adjusts it automatically. My question is, what does the TPS look like when set up properly on a 91 N/A? The two on mine sit with the full throttle one depressed at idle and the lower one, extended fully at idle, so much that it barely touches the adjustment pin. Also the adjustment for this plunger seems to be fully extended. If I test the plungers with an ohm meter off of the vehicle, I can get the correct readings. I don't want to play with the adjustment on the vehicle unless I have too. If anyone knows or has pictures of a properly set up TPS for a 91 NA, I would appreciate the info.

Are you sure you're testing the right one? And are you testing it with the engine warmed up (but obviously not running)?

i can get pictures tonight if you want...i have a TII but i have NA parts and i have a whole top end i can show you on. i wont be home until late tonight cause i am going to the drags but tomorrow morning ill post some pictures and try to help you out.

at idle it should read 5K OHMS plus or minus one so 4-6 is ok, and at WOT it should read 1K OHMS. you adjust is using the flat head screw that is right next to it...its not very hard at all and you should be able to do it without pictures but ill take some anyways. warm the car up first, and use an old analog meter because you want to make sure when you press the throttle...the sweep between 1k and 5k is smooth...if not your car will buck...like mine...

Yep-cars at operating temp and I'm testing with a digital meter. I can make it read correctly if I move the plunger but I in order to get the correct reading at idle the plunger has to be in but now its extended out all the way. If you can send pictures tonight that would be great.

Ok-played with the adjustment screw to get the ohms down-not the shift points for the automatic have changed-it's not shifting smoothly and doesnt seem to want to up shift right-is there anyway that adjusting the TPS will effect the tranny? I'm going nuts trying to get this thing to pass inspection
