TPS Adjustment question
Hi everyone. I have some idle problems once my 88 TII is warmed up... It idles around 500rpm and dips to the point of almost dying sometimes. This is only once the engine is warm.
So I went to adjust the TPS. It was sitting around 1k ohms at rest, but when I move the throttle it goes all the way up to 8.5k or so by about half way to WOT. Once it gets to around 8.5k it does not go any higher, even moving the throttle more doesn't change it.
Is my TPS bad? Does this sound like it could be my problem?
Thanks!

It may be just dirty inside.
Before you toss it, maybe try shooting some spray contact cleaner in it.
Spray it in between the sleeve & plunger, work it in, blow it out.
Then re-test it.
It's a short range sensor, so it will go full scale at 25-30% throttle.
