I can verify that the narrow's right.

I guess the full is right as well.

It's hard for me since I always probe from the front side after disconnecting, but it looks right.

That is the narrow adjusting screw as well.

BTW, if you're in Toronto, I can come help you out if you have some free time.

I have plenty of free time right now, but I am not sure how much you can help. I think I figured out part of my problem.

The previous owner blew the engine a few years ago, and to his credit actually got a new engine installed by someone who flew out from the factory. (Good or not its been working fine *knock on wood* )

Looks like the way this particular connecter comes off the loom, wasn't positioned right, and they lost the slack in order to put the connecter in the right place, so I can barely access it.

The engine's got about 4K km's on it so I am not about to pull a bunch of stuff of just to fix the slack positioning of one connector as its not hitting on anything hot and seems to be working. I think, however it might be worth making a 4 inch extender to fix this annoyance, and then borrow someone's small fingers.

Until I can make this extender I guess I am stuck using the LED method (tho the LED method currently says OK) I was just trying to learn more about the system, and maybe listen to Aaron's suggestion of recalibrating which each oil change.

==========
Slightly off topic: can these connectors be gotten for me to make such an extender? Or am I going wrecker hunting again
==========

And since I forgot, I noticed you seem to bounce between TO and NY for your location. Anytime you are in the area, let me know. Would be nice to hang out with someone who understands this stuff and hopefully learn a bit.

The TPS connector is like a Weatherpac in that it has little rubber grommets around the wires as they enter the connector block.
No way to squeeze a typical multimeter probe in there.

I took a paperclip, straightened it out and quickly ran it over some 220 grit sandpaper to taper the end, then stuck that into the back of the connector- be careful not to trash the little rubber sealing grommets.
A long sewing needle- which for some odd reason, I didn't have laying around- would probably be the best implement to use.

Reviving an old thread, I just need confirmation if my tps is shot. S5 NA. Both full and narrow range ohms check out at both closed and open throttle, vdc is good, but at constant throttle it hesitates and feels a little down on power between 7-8k rpm. Not sure it is the tps just fooling me or if it is something else I should be looking at...
