total rewire

I've been looking at the ISIS system.
It's pretty sweet.
Remove massive stock 80's wiring and put in new technology digital devices.
It really simplifies the wiring and troubleshooting. Cost is up there though.
With removing chassis wiring, planning is KEY. Label everything you remove so you have an idea of what you have to put back in later on.
Just to give you an idea,
You need:
Fuel pump, Power for ecu, head lights, headlight motors, turn signals, turn signal flashers, brakes, hazards, running lights, radio, dash, illumination, wipers, heater/ac
It gets complicated quickly

I've looked at ISIS before, considering it for my Cosmo. Then came to the conclusion that it is idiotic. I don't recall exactly why I came to that conclusion, but it has something to do with tossing fuse boxes all over the car and having to buy expensive modules, instead of just having a central fuse box and standard wiring harness. Having to run a power feed to each ISIS box, fuses in each, programming, being locked into their hardware/software, etc. Plus the joy of accidentally frying a "Cell" when something goes wrong instead of just blowing a fuse. Nah, give me a good old standard wiring harness that I can customize to my needs.
I have a feeling that the ISIS system was designed for the middle-aged hot-rodder whom knows absolutely nothing about wiring and wants something fancy to put into that $100,000+ Camaro restoration.

None of those circuits are particularly complicated, there are just more wires than you may have expected.

i rewired my 82 Rx7 and took out the wires i didn't need, and it was WAY more work than it was worth. the time it took was long and the amount of weight removed was really small, maybe a pound?
the FC has a bigger harness, but that just means its more work.
