torrington thrust bearing

torrington thrust bearing

I was reading on Mazdatrix about the torrington thrust bearing and I was wondering if you take off the four bolts that hold the pulley on will that mess that bearing up or is it only if you take the front eccentric shaft bolt lose that it will mess the bearing up. This has me worried that I messed my front bearing up because I took my front pulley off to paint it.

You only have to worry about those bearings if you take the main e-shaft bolt out. If you just pulled the 4 little bolts that bolt the pulleys onto the front hub, you're fine.

Thanks for the help makes me feel better to know I did not damage anything. That is what I thought it was only if you take the e-shaft bolt off you would mess things up. I just wanted to double check my shelf to make sure I was right.

try to keep track of how the pieces of the pulley go. they can only be lined up one way.
