Torrington bearings, what am I doing wrong?

So the engine internals are all rebuild now. Flywheel has been installed. Working on the front side though, what is supposed to go on the spacer?

The way it looks to me is that the rear thrust washer, thrust bearing, trust plate, front bearing, and front spacer/bearing all belong on the spacer that slides over the ecentric shaft.

how the hell.

And I can't seem to get the bearings on the spacer (which is labled "z" btw, its new) to rotate over the spacer. It goes on the spacer, but then roating over the spacer is very dificult.

If the front bearing and washer do not sit on the spacer, why do they appear to have such a large internal diameter comapred to the outer diameter of the ecentric shaft?

Thanks All

Kent

it goes:

rear thrust washer(beveled face against the e-shaft), spacer, rear torrington bearing over the spacer, stat gear bearing thrust plate, front torrington bearing over the spacer, front thrust washer in the front counterweight with the counterweight, oil pump gear, OMP drive gear/CAS gear then lastly the front hub.

the torrington bearings won't spin all too freely on the spacer but they should be somewhat free to move around, if not then the cage for the bearings may be damaged and the bearings should be replaced.

new bearings. Thanks much. I was using the front washer on the engine side, couldn't figure it out at all. After I put it all together though, I realised I forgot the eshaft/pulley key (damn!). At least I know how it goes in. Thank you much. At it really is 10x easier when you tilt the engine partway vertical on the stand.

... as you might have guessed... soon to come is my thread with high-res pictures of the bad bad bad damage a dropped bearing causes. Rotor bearings, front wheight, gear bearings, and a partially warped eshaft.

I learned my lesson, so I want to get it right this time
