Don't worry, the sig should explain it all.

whats the rearend ratio of a 'vert? Assuming they had the power, they'd technically be the fastest, wouldn't they?

Yikes. At 120 and climbing I wuss out and slow down in mine! It's scary doing speeds like that when not on a race track. Cops, deer, bumps in the road, people who don't see you coming at double the normal speed who pull out in front . . no thanks.

I'll use up a few of my nine lives in the twisties and spare the straights.

my friend videotaped a high speed run doing 140 one time. i only do it when theres no traffic and no one around. i'm a very safe driver, and no...i'm not in high school anymore. i'm prolly a better driver than most people on here. some people have a little thing called skill

Did 145 in my TII, and was still pulling. Traffic was coming up, so I slowed down. It takes a lot longer to slow down at that speed. I was about a mile back when I started to break and I was still passing people while decelerating. My car gets to that speed way too easily, I'm starting to wonder what's up with my car, it seems a little faster than it should based on the mods....

so one of your skills isn't literacy?

and for those who think finding out your top speed is cool; i hope you die. try not to take anyone out either.

Yeah, well on a dyno, you don't have to worry about pushing air out of the way

oooh, thats just asking for a challenge! Just you wait! When I finish my s5 'vert (prolly feb-mar) I'll find my top speed, just for you. And I'll make sure it'll reach 150, just for you. And then I'll smash into an overpass....

hmm, I need to think this over

i hit 104... but my 87 n/a now has 207,750 miles on the original engine and tranny (3rd clutch tho). Also, my tires are i think R rated (whatever the crappiest ones are) and that's only rated up to 109, then the friction and heat is too much, and tires DO burst people, and I don't really want to be going 130 and have a tire burst. But as I've seen before on this forum... straightaways are for fast cars, curves are for fast drivers...
