For comparison, top speed in a stock FD is around 160+. At this speed you are power limited and nowhere near redline in 5th. I would imagine that the top speed of a stock TII would probably be around 140 for the same reasons.

Top Speed 350 knots
I once had a TII that went 350 knots, of course it was in the cargo bay of a C-130 at the time. An ANG buddy of mine transported it cross country for me to get an engine rebuild. He had to log the flying hours anyway and transporting something was good training for the loadmaster. Does this count?

The car felt really good at 8000rpms in 5th gear. The car I passed thinks he was going 250km. It just did not feel like 160mph. and the clutch was not slipping. If anyone wants to see the down sized 9mb video PM me.
Mods, "large street port", T66, four 1000cc injectors, spraying water. Blew a manifold to turbo gasket so boost was down to 1.3bar.

I did 221kms/hr (136MPH) with 4 people in my 929, it was smooth crusin at that speed in 5th @ 5400RPM (redline is 6300RPM), ran out road... I think 250 would be achievible by myself...

sorry for interrupting this thread but driftmeister how in the world do you have a 530i V8? did you put in a 540s or even an old 535s V8? and would that be a 1991 525td? not 524?
oh now back to the thread, i've hit 215 km/h on my TII but it was on the highway so you wouldn't want to go any faster or even that fast unless you're on a circuit or closed road.

the fastest I've ever gone in my N/A turbo was 147mph in 4th at around 5500rpm on the Nj Turnpike. The only reason I slowed down is because it felt like I was gonna warp through the matrix or somethin.

well from the book it states
turbo=176mph
N/A= 191mph
that does not mean the car can do it that just means that the gears limit you to this
now to do this speed you will need a whole lot of power but it is what the book says

I've gone somewhere between 135 and 140... so i guess 137mph in my stock TII. The only reason I let off was because I have a bad tranny mount and thought the tranny was gonna drop out from under me. Plus the vibration was really starting make my nuts go numb
