took my friend's 98 VTEC prelude :)
Hey, I ran into my friend today, he's got a stock 98 Vtec prelude (auto). We decided to play a little. first race, i got a small jump on him, and walked away to 90 ish. by 90 (from about 40) i was maybe 2-3 cars in front of him. We raced again, a bit uphill, and stayed pretty even, i started to walk by him at about 60 (again, from 40).
I was pretty suprised that i kept up with him actually, i didnt know he had an auto at first. It's got one of those sport shifter thingies. Flywheel Hp for his car is 195.
Ive got a stock GTU, with the 2 precats removed (straight pipe), however i still have the main cat on. My clutch is also screwed up
However, i was happy with my kill He complimented me on the way my car sounds, hehe He's an alright guy.

no, not all ludes are autos... only the base model had the sport shift option... and the highest model the type sh was only available in 5speed. the autos are real slow though, my old non-vtec lude (just suspension, no cat, and intake) took one out high end.

I beat my friend's 98 Prelude auto from 0-80. Although he was coming and charging hard. The problem with these VTEC cars is that if they are off powerband, it will never win any races, but once the car is wind up. It does go very very good
