Tonight at PIR

Well i headed down the PIR (pacific international raceways) in kent, washington tonight. It was a big night tonight (it was highschool drags ... dont tell them im not in highschool ) and their was a little over 400 cars there doing elimination.

I brought up my 91 TII (all stock) to see what i'd run stock, so i can compare while im doing mods. My first run was against an 80s firebird, it was pretty lop sided, he had a 302 v8 auto. Here are the times of me, he got 17.86

-----------------------------------
60'
2.151

1/8
9.3
75.17 mph

1000
12.13

1/4
14.5
94.27mph
----------------------------------

not bad for my first run, and i got a bad start. So i gave a 14.00 dial time, and i got a bad start on my second run again and got a 14.8 .. so i lost to a technicality .. but i beat both guys i raced. The second was an mx-6.

And everyone was liking my car, no one had seen one before, and since i kicked some cars asses with alot of mods, i was pretty happy.

now come the mods...

14.5 stock? Wow, not bad at all. Fairly decent launch with that '60 foot too.

Nope, I wasnt really paying attention to the schools. Just looking around and noticing alot of slower cars. Hardly saw anyone below a 15. And there was alot of riced out imports as well as beefed up muscle cars. But when i looked around none of them seemed too fast. I just need to work on my launch. I think im gonna goto the open drags atleast once a month so i can work on my times. I just need to find a good auto X track now.
