tiny amount of coolant loss

Every second or third drive I take the radiator light comes on when I stop at the lights, Revit and it goes. When it's cooled maybe 100-200 mls of coolant needs replacing and there's a brown snot like substance on the rad cap. Temp never goes out of control. One time I noticed the upper radiator hose was sucked in on itself after moving it across the road. Is the cap stuffed and it's dumping into the over flow or...

might be the cap, clean it and the mating surface, or just replace. my T2 did this, and it turned out to be a pinhole leak. i reused a crush washer on the turbo, although pinhole leak could be anywhere.

I had that problem but it turned out to be a bad heater core.. ended up with soaked floors by the end of the night.

When I had this problem on my 87 N/A, it was the Rad cap. Replaced the cap and the problem went away.
