Timing / TPS Question

If I adjust my TPS setting, does that affect my static timing at all? Would I have to reset the timing?

The adjustment of the TPS does not affect timing. However, I would first make sure the timing is correctly set before I adjusted the TPS. Remember to ground the initial set connector first. Set timing with engine idling at 750. Then go back and adjust the TPS. Once you're done, don't forget to remove the ground from the initial set connector.

I was told that, on S5's, the ecu is smart and retards the timing if you advance the CAS too much. On the dyno, there's really no difference. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
