I just installed my new engine and finally got it running, after i played with the firing order and the idle for it bit, i got it to run very smoothly but it lacked power seriously...... so i checked the timing and sure enough i hadn't put it back to the factory setting(TDC or whatever you wanna call it) but now it runs a little rough and the power still does seem all there but there was an imporvment. I am wondering if my firing order may still be off(since i can't seem to find out what the correct firing order is in the first place) or if now that my timings right i need to adjust my idle up or down(its reving somewhere around 1.5-1)......i seriously don't know whats wrong...if you have any idea's or further questions, feel free to state/ask thank you

The plug wires are painfully simple to connect right. The leading and trailing coil packs are marked (T1 and T2, L1 and L2.)
Looking at the engine from the driver's side, trailing 1 is top left, trailing 2 is top right, leading 1 is bottom left, leading 2 bottom right.
Remember that leading ignition timing can be set off L1 or L2 (thank you wasted spark,) however trailing can only be set from T1.

If you looking at the timing with a timing light with the engine idling at 1500 rpm.......your setting it wrong because the timing advances all by itself over about 1000-1100 rpm. You need to get the idle down to real idling speed. Somewhere around 750-800 rpm. Then set the timing.
