timing completely out of wack
just searched didnt find what im looking for soo.....
when i put a timing light on the leading and trailing coils, one side of the leading coil is firing and the trailing coils are firing out of wack.
things i have done optima red top battery, three or four leading and trailing coils, two different ecu's, i have a cas up in my room that i havent tried yet. havent check the yellow and red marks on the pully yet.
just checked the compression on both rotors and without a good proper seal, the compression on all sides are 90, but should be alittle bit more because of the bad seal.

If one side of the leading is firing, then the leading system is good. Your problem must then lie in either the plug wire, plug, or ground (housing-to-housing contact all the way to the big ground near the starter, and all the way to the alternator mounting brackets)...
You can check your CAS inputs (4 of 'em) at the ECU, that will check the CAS and wiring in one fell swoop...

Both LEADS fire at the same time. See and read this: http://www.teamfc3s.org/info/articles/demystifying.html
You should only be looking at T1 when looking at the trail plugs.
It's a known timing light problem as far as only one lead wire showing being fired. Reverse the timing light clamp on the wire that shows to NOT be firing and you'll most likely see it fire now. It was always firing. Its a timing light issure. See the MAZDA TSB's for this.
If your car is exibiting a pooh, pooh, pooh type misfiring at idle......it's most likely because it's too lean. If it's a series four, turn the variable resistor to the R direction and see if the pooh, pooh dampens a bit.
