Timing adjustment question

Heys guys, i took the 7 for a spin the other day. At around 7psi of boost it started knocking. I want to retard the timing a little until i figure out whats wrong but i dont remember which way to rotate CAS to retard the timing. doesnt rotating it counter clockwise retard the timing? im just double checking. Thanks -alex

The engine shouldn't knock at 7psi unless something is very wrong. Retarding the timing will not fix the problem, it will simply mask one symptom. You should definitely check the timing to make sure it's at the stock setting, and if is isn't, correct it. If it is, leave it and find the real cause of the knocking.
