time for lowering springs
well its time for me to get some lowering springs. my car only has 70,000 miles on it so the struts are still pretty good. i am having trouble deciding between intrax or racing beat. i like the intrax's because they lower 1.75 inchs vs. 1 inch but are said to be softer than the racing beats. but i am also not sure on how it will look. the front is already so much lower than the rear i am hoping the rear will come down a little more. oh and i have 17 inch wheels on the car. does anyone have pics of either of these springs on there car? thanks for the help

I heard intrax's are pretty crappy springs. My brother told me this, he's an engineer and he designs suspension for small formula SAE cars in college, he's also the head of the team there. I went with eibachs instead, I couldn't be happier.

If your struts are the original equipment.... they are shot... If they have been replaced, they may not be shot, but by changind their ride position with lowering springs, you may very well find out just how worn they are....
Only less you are VERY certain of their age... its best to replace them when you do the springs....

What about Tein? They have a nice set of lowering springs, though I'm not sure if they have them for the FC or not. They do have a sweet *** coilover system that I want to get with an electronic driver-controlled damping forces front and back.

Agreed. Not to mention you have to watch it while changing lanes- you might scoop up road biscuits! I am planning to go with RB's springs- have heard a lot of good about them. The one inch drop should make those unsightly wheel gaps go away, too! The stock bbs's look good, but those 15's do leave a lot of wheel well exposed.

You guys gotta remember... its not always about performance for some people. Some people are after a certain look. For example, my cousin has a 2000 mustang GT that he cut the springs on... The reason he cut the springs is because there werent lowering springs in market that would lower his car as low as it is today. Its so low that a chap stick just barely slides under the front. Its so god damn low that sometimes if a road's semi truck groves are big enough... it will actually cause something on the bottom of his car to grind along. It looks awsome if ur behind, all u see is sparks flying up lol. Of course he trys to avoid those roads but my point is, he was going for the look of the lowest drop top mustang and I think he's achieved it. Yes it handles like **** but what mustang doesnt in the first place :P
