Question TII water hose questions?

I have an 87 TII that wouldn't start. I finally discovered the rear chamber injectors weren't working. I removed the intake and throttle chamber and found a water hose which goes from the engine to the throttle chamber. Now, where did they find the guy that can reach in there and install or remove that thing?? Can someone answer these 3 questions.

1. Is it necessary to have this hose.

2. If so, how do you get it back on (When I get a new one, I had to cut it to get the intake off)?

3. Can the piece where the hose goes on the engine be replaced (this one is in bad condition)?

Read this: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...ght=water+hose

Read what the furriner wrote and see the jpg he attached of the water hose.

Also read this which was attached to the bottom of one of his post: http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/article09-208 It's not related to your post but is related to this site in spades.

1= yes you really need the hose

2=i wish i had pics on how i did it but its pretty easy.

3=yes it can be replaced however it MUST be a 90 degree angle hose you cant use a straight hose and try to make a bend with that i tried and all id did was colapes on it self so it MUST be a 90 degree angle.....

BTW asians have small hands....sadly im asian so i was lucky HAHA .I HAD TO DO THIS FOR MY SWAP!!sorry dude but if i was you id replace the hose.....get you a 90 degree angle hose from advanced its only about 10 bucks..and cut it down to size i took me a couple of tries to get the size and fit right but it can be done .if you haveing trouble getting it to slide on use some dishwasher soap like ajax or dawn lol

get a length of hose then you can do something like this...

Where my finger is is where it sticks into the engine.

The hose forms a loop, so it doesn't get cinched up, and there's enough space there for it. Then when you pick up your UIM, it gives you enough slack to work it off. This is in contrast to a short length of hose that is a straight shot down.

TII water hose questions?

Thanks guys, now just a couple more question.

Can I change the nipple on the engine. If I can, where do you get one and does it just press in?
