TII Streetport Mods and Other Fun Stuff
I'm concerned that the TII I picked up may not be getting enough fuel. Here's the mod list as is:
87 13bt rebuilt with a big streetport
missing stock air box—replacing with cone
no airpump
no ACV
looks like the stock precat is still on
As this is my first turboed car I'm not even sure what boost readings I should be looking for on the stock boost gauge. It spools up under load, but as the stock gauge goes to +40 with only ticks, I have no idea what boost levels I'm reaching. Should I be concerned about leaning out or boost creep? Or will I be ok until I'm ready to mod?
The oil pressure gauge is my only other concern at this point. With ignition off the needle drops to bottom of gauge. Ignition on, the needle climbs to overthe top of the 100+ mark. It's obviously got issues. Has anyone seen this situation or have a solution?
Thanks all,
Brian
