Its hilarious how threads like this dont get "modded/deleted" but the ones with actual information are all chopped up.

My '91 NA came with a steel hood and for a while the only aluminum hood I could find was a T2, so of course, it went right on.

I didn't like the hood bulge.
Ignoring all the other potential downsides to that particular swap, I didn't like the view.

I was fortunate to obtain a non-vented alloy hood (more or less right color even), which is ideal.
Not to belabor the point but if you can save a chunk of pounds without compromising function/quality (it is factory after all), then why the hell not?

A side benefit of the lightweight hood is increased options for hood struts, if one is so inclined.

I'm with Jack.

I suppose it's another one of those personal preference things people will just debate ad nauseum. I wouldn't put a TII hood on an N/A, but that is just my tastes.
