TII Half-shafts

TII Half-shafts
Still trying to get ahold of a pair of these, and I'm about to give up and just buy a brand new set. Question I have though is I've heard two different stories on the subject. One side is that all TII 86-92 half-shafts are the same, and the other side says 89-92 TII HSs are different. Anyone know which it is?

All TII shafts are the same... However there is a difference between the stubs (the output from the differential that the shafts bolt to) based on the type of diff you have.
The clutch type diffs have different length stubs than the viscous type. If you have converted to a torsen, or plan to, the clutch type stubs will work. The viscous stubs only work in a viscous diff.

The differential will generally have the output shafts/stub shafts/flanges still in it...most people dont even know they come out. If you get a diff without the stub shafts I would bitch to the seller about not including them. So, provided your t2 diff has the stub shafts in it, then any 87-91 turbo axles will also fit.
The above poster is correct about the differences in the diff's internals and the stub shaft lengths.
