TII Engine Harness Rewire and Optimization:
Background: My 87 TII Engine harness is toast; Brittle, broken Injector Plugs.
My Plan:
1. Fasten harness to workboard
2. Remove Brittle harness cover
3. De-Terminate and remove wiring associated with removed Emmissions components and Engine Accessories
4. Replace Injector clips and rewire back to ECU Plug
5. Install new harness wrap
Questions:
1. What Harness wrap did you use?
2. Has anyone elese done this (DALE?), What were your results?
3. Did you change the harness routing to avoid the hot spots?

Justin, On the branches of the harness I will use that. For the Main "trunk" of the harness it is too small. Of course until I gut the harness I won't know for sure

you could cut the ends out of a bunch of condoms and tape them together....
sorry i couldnt think of anything useful....wait....wait... the light clicked on
go to http://www.terminaltown.com/Pages/Page66.html
look at the silicon tape. when heated it bonds to itself, forming a single tube. and it withstands 392 degrees F so as long as you dont wrap it on your headers i think it is durable enough
