TID is Done ...But?

Ok i jsut finished my tid and love the extra problem. Had no real problems getting it in. The only thing is that when i did this instead of running the bypass valve back into the intake i open vented it. I used a 3/4in swing valve and some copper piping. The swing valve lays level so the vavle isnt open at all. I can reach inside of the swing vavle and pull it open which makes the car stumbles and almost dies. Everythign to me appears to be good, but was just wondering, everything that ive read says that when you open the bov it should be a lot louder that stock. Why isnt mine. Is there something wrong. The noise isnt really my main concearn i just want to make should im not going to kill anything.
Thank you.
