Throttle sticking?

I have a New mazda throttle cable on my s4 N/A to JDM motor swap. i noticed that it with rev to red line if i give it hell and then shift at 5 or 6K. the pedal seems fine about half way down then after that it is harder to push. My thoughts are the 2nd Throttle plates are sticking. Any ideas?

You might be right with the throttle plates. Take off the throttle body, clean it out with parts cleaner and lubricate all the moving components on it. You will be surprised to see how bad the throttle bodies are, or in your case if the engine was sitting in a yard this whole time and you just installed it, it will sure be gunked up....

Do it yourself?

Save some money and get some satisfaction out of it?

In my car, I just sinked the throttle body complete in oil for a few days. Then I hanged the throttle cable and lubricate the inside of the cable injecting diesel until it came out from the other side. Problem resolved until present
