Throttle % on startup question.

I have noticed that my SAFC II reads about 5% throttle on cold startup, and then it gradually lowers down to reading 0% after a little while. I haven't noticed this when it's already warm though. I always start it in gear so its not the AWS. This affects my idle and I was wondering if it should be doing this.

I also have noticed that my idle will fluctuate sometimes when I have the clutch pedal pushed in (depressed). Any ideas on either of these subjects would be great. Mods are in the sig.

I believe it's part of the cold or assisted start-up process. I have an s4 non-turbo, and it acts the same way. Only mod is a catback exhaust and no catalytics.

That's the thermowax opening the throttle a bit to give a good cold idle. It's perfectly normal and is the way it's supposed to work.
