Duals are louder, there isn't the exhaust sound waves from both ports to cancel each other out.

If a collected exhaust with two mufflers is loud enough to hurt my ears while my friend is cruising next to me and I can't hear my own exhaust I don't think the True Duals are louder. I don't give a **** what you all say about canceling pulses and **** I am talking about what my ears are listening to. My duals don't even register compared to a collected one and a Single muffler will be twice as loud as a collected with dual mufflers.

yes ive seen under a 3rd gen there isnt much room but if it was nessicary to put it they would have probly designed the gas tank differently.

ok... but why do u say that single 3" is better for a turbo, u said the stock Y pipe is 2", wouldnt two 2" be better than one 3"? and holy **** my car is loud it sets off alarms, and its not a true dual, i dont imagine that it woudl be louder if i only had one pipe (shrug) but i dont see how a Single 3" flows better than split 2"s... somebody explain this?

I'm not sure if that was for me, but I'll answer anyway...
That whole "single for turbo, dual for NA" thing is BS. It's about pipe size, not just the number of pipes. A pair of 2" pipes can't flow as much as as a single 3" pipe, but a pair of 2.5" pipes can flow a lot more than a single 3" pipe.
For the third time, two mufflers in parallel only have to deal with half the noise energy each, so the exhaust is quieter. This shouldn't be hard to understand...
Because it's much bigger. See above.

pi*r^2
for 3 inch diameter we get x-section area of aprox 7.07 inch^2
for 2 inch diameter we get... aprox 3.14
therefore two 2inch pipes have total cross sectional area os 6.283
6.283 < 7.07
however for 2.5 inch pipes you get Xsection area of 4.91 inch^2
two 2.5 inch pipes give u total x section area of 9.82 inch^2
9.82 > 7.07
understand?
also energy is conserved. (good assumption here)
energy can be in the form of sound, heat, kinetic there are others too... lets focus on above.
since energy is conserved, the part where the exhaust pulse which is basically sound, heat, kinetic is split into two.
Therefore total energy /2
each muffler now has 1/2 the amount of energy it needs to absorb.

I didnt mean it to sound like i sayd the fake duals on the rx-7s where more restrictive thats why there quiet i meant to just show a statement that most stock cars lean twards quiet more than how restrictive something is.

My new idea
ok from the information i gathered on this thread, i ahve decided to put a third muffler in the center, to increase flow, while reducing noise at the same time, here is a picture of what i wanted kinda.
