I had all the common FC gremlins also, wiper switch, headlight switch, door handles, shifter bushings (not to mention 1 motor and 3 trannies hehe). But the little **** is EASY to fix, EASY to find and makes your car fun to drive again bc i know what it's like to be annoyed by the FC. and i didn't have a lotta $$ either, i put up w/ the problems bc I was lazy thats all. I got off my ***, found good parts people and never looked back. only took me a few days to find what I needed and a little time to pull old **** out and put new stuff in. rx74unme@webtv.net is a great parts guy, all stuff is clean and works!!! or just post on the forums, these guys are great, utilize them!! though we all swap out suspension, exhaust, tires wheels etc...on our cars a lot of people would LOVE to own a GTUs just bc it's a real GTUs. your car looks pretty clean, i say fix the gremlins and a few mods will turn your car into a head turner and a corner killer. nice coilovers, good tires on stock wheels and an RB motorback exhaust w/ a K&N is all a GTUs requires (like all other NA FC's) if the rest of the car is healthy...RarestRX and his buddy know what I mean...

If you spend the money on the car, it will repay you.
On mine I just replaced it all when I had the money
Rebuilt engine
new Alt
new starter
all new vacuum lines
reliability mods
all new gaskets
new clutch
resurfaced flywheel
rebuilt clutch cylinders
rebuilt fuel injectors
new water pump
new hoses
new belts
new thermostat
resoldered CPU and warning lights
Theres a few more things i cant remember but anyway ive spent around $1800 on it all and its well worth it.
Ive had 6000 absolutley trouble free miles, and im expecting about 44000 more before it gives me problems

how did you get away with all of that for $1800 88 SE?
Your car is practically new now.
bigtwan25, if you ever feel that that isn't the car for you, sell it to one of us who'll treat it right. This forum is a whole community of people that love the FC.

I have some of em up on my webpage at http://chris.redmonkeygames.com/RX7/
click on FIXES then PARTS LIST and itll give you a list of some of the stuff I had to buy.
If you are looking for any part, just ask and I can probably tell you the cheapest place to find it.

you all must realize the fact that twan is a family. so for one yea he wants a car thats reliable, for two he wants a car that he can fit his whole family in, and for three he definatley wants a car thats good on gas milage. so you should think about those factors before you knock a mans decisions or give him a bunch of **** when he asks for your opinions
