I know that 6 ports limit the porting somewhat, but I know for a fact that the six port setup flows better than the 4 port if you are really pushing the limits of them.
ANyways, I've modded a 6p mani, and it's perfect. I ground out the parts that intrude,(like the center bridge) and epoxied the parts that needed to be built up. It's literally perfect for flow.
I'd use a 6 port setup though, unless you are going to do radical porting.

The big problem with the 6pt is the fact that to do an aux. bridge (a bridge just on the 5th and 6th ports, retaining the sleeve's functionality) is that there's quite a large area where water can (and will) get in. Look at a front or rear plate sometime; Notice the area between the water jacket O-rings and you'll see what I mean.
A TII housing flows less than a stock 6pt housing, but broadens (and ironically at the same time limits) the ammount of porting that can be done. It's a world of compromises. This seems to be a compromise of longevity versus performance.
Now, I would think that with a custom bridge port of sorts, it would be possable to retain SOME (if not almost all) of that nice low-end power the turbo housings provide, yet have more flow than a stock 6-port block, and still retain a marginal change in port timing. Obviously, there will still be the question of longevity (still have to epoxy water passages), but I wouldn't think it would be as exacerbated as it would be on a 6-port block (lots of epoxy).
Just my 2-cents...
Yeah, I'd mod the 6port LIM to match the TII's ports. In fact, I've got one that's rough, but almost matched already Just remove all the actuator stuff and epoxy everything nice and smooth. When you try to cut the divider from the 3/4/5/6 port area, it will try to make a hole towards the center of the manifold (the ACV/EGR passages). Epoxy that nicely and sand everything smooth (320-grit or higher). How long will it last? Beats me. I still say you should go with an IDA manifold/TB; Since you've got a megasquirt, why keep all that stock intake tubing?

Adam; I really do appreciate your input. If I were to bridge the entire endplates, aux & secondairy ports, that would solve the horrible flow problems... correct?

Black sunshine, not all bridge ports encroach ont he water jacket. Mine didnt, as well as the vast majority of bridge ports. Only a j-bridge is cut into the water jacket. It sounds like you missed the aux bridge thread.... click here

Look at what rotaries are doing on other continents. Sheet metal intake manifolds that are a lot less restrictive.
But the unfortunate part is where does the rev range go, someone with acces to fabrication and testing facilities, ie alot of money is probably the only person that can do this properly. Like shop owners and race teams.
