just like the title says... i want something really good, and lots of people have had great success with this brand but im a bit confused on which kit to buy... the basic, one with aux box, or rpm converter.... im a bit new at this but have alot of time to read up on it all and a motor to play with... my setup is
greddy emange
s4 block stock ports
s5 turbo
550cc primary, 720cc secondary
s4 turbo intake manifolds
walbro fuel pump
and a few other misc goodies that dont matter for this question
thanks in advance... oh and price isnt that much of a biggie if an extra 200 or so would be better safety/precaution then its ok... thats why i bought my injectors brand new... its better insurance

i am legendary
I use that one, works well. The "basic" kit that comes with the hand controller, O2, bung/plug, associated cords, instructions/software for laptop is enough for me personally. In the handheld it will log like 44 min of data for you, but if you hook it up to the laptop you can log real time for any amount of time you want. This only logs AFR though.
With the aux box you can log more stuff, like temperatures and such depending on what hookups you have. I don't really need that, but some people might want it. All in what your desire is.

I have the LM-1 as well and its supposed to be the best on the market but I wish it had a heads up display instead of the hand held box. I talked to innovative about it and they said they have it in the works.

Innovate recently released the XD-1, a 52mm gauge type display (like the AEM). I think thats what I'm going to run. I think you can either hook it up to your LM-1 if you already have one, or you can buy the LC-1 and use that if you don't need datalogging. IMO, its about time Innovate released something with a gauge type display. I've heard nothing but good things about the LM-1, but I wanted something thats easy to read while driving.

how much is the basic kit? I got the zeitronix with display but if you aren't interested in display and have a laptop to datalog with then you are just looking at 279 and it logs boost, rpm, afr, and lambda without having to buy anything seperate. Damn good setup to. I just ran evertyhing at the ecu and then came up with the phone cable through the glove box so I can plug in my laptop. Very nice wideband if you ask me.

I wish someone would make a damn 52 or 60mm gauge that could read the 0-5v and display the damn A/F ratio universally (since almost ALL common wideband units have a 0-5v output, it's not that hard to do!). That'd be GREAT since ANYBODY could simply hook up the gauge to an existing unit.
But anyway, I've got a Techedge V2 with a LA01 52mm display gauge
