Is there supposed to be a check valve/restrictor in the presure sensor line?
Just like it says. I changed all the vac lines long ago. The pressure sensor is connected directly to a nipple on the LIM. Is here supposed to be a check valve or restrictor on that line?
If so where can I get one? check valve is a duh thing, but restrictor?
And what difference will it make if its not there compared to having it?

There's a restrictor about an inch from the end (on the IM side) in the stock line. On some cars fast changes to pressure (ie, slamming throttle plates open/etc) will cause it to hesitate.

You can make one from a scrap piece of plastic.
Take the smallest drill you have & drill the plug almost through.
The finish the hole with a straight pin.
Place it in the line near the pressure sensor for a short delay in sensing boost.
Place it near the IM for a longer delay in boost sense to the ECU.

It's generally a bit bigger than the hose itself, so the hose holds it in place, not to mention it's larger than the nipple, so good luck sucking it into your engine.

The restrictor “pill” is essential to every rotary engine because it buffers the pulses that are created in the intake. Without this pill, the pressure sensor goes crazy.
The pill looks like a Tic-Tac but only smaller. It has a small hole down the length of the Tic-Tac that is about the same diameter as a needle.

So how small does this hole need to be? Vac line is what... 1/8" ID? Are we talking the hole only needs to be the width of a pin? or a pen?

wait... what?
Restrictor? Uh, thought it was just a vac hose from the LIM to the PS.
Unless this is a "DIY" mod, there isn't supposed to be one there...
From the S5 FSM..
Now I'm assuming this is N/A considering the thread starter has a S5 GTU...
so wayne, does this help in any way or something?

Just because it's not in the FSM doesn't mean it's not there. Go pull the IM side off a stock car and squeeze about an inch up from the end and you'll feel it, then peek in and you'll see it.

Sorry, I just try and "resort" to the FSM, because of all these "FSM Gods"... so I try and just STFU and go by the FSM.
Everything about this car is ******* *** backwards, INCLUDING THE FORUM! Ask a question, told to search. Search, you pull up threads of other people asking and being told to search. Then you have the "FSM Bitches" who tell you to just read the FSM (including myself) - then when ya do, NOT EVERYTHING IS EVEN ******* COVERED!
Isn't that just great????

Lol, calm down. Sometimes instead of typing a novel for every answer, it's much easier to reference an FSM section, especially if there are several steps involved. Either way, we're trying to help you. Now, if you told us that you've read the such-and-such part of the FSM, but you don't understand this one particular step, most guys will be more than happy to enlighten you

Still a little (read:sarcasm) ticked off at my freaking MOP, and the 3 gushing knuckles as a result from them. Really makes typing fun!
-sigh...
