is there a cheap way to limit boost
hi
my t2 is going bloody great, its got a 3" TID and FCD and a 3" exhaust all the way thru, no cat and splits into 2.5" mufflers, no before i got the 3" pipe put in it was running 8-9psi in 1,2,3rd and 11-12 in 4th and 5th, nowwwww its runnign 10-11 in 1st and 2nd and 14 in 3rd 4th and 5th,
is there anyway i can limit the boost that dosnt invole me pulling the turbo off of spending $500 on a boost controller?

either pull the turbo and port the wg or restrict your intake and/or exhaust. no other way around it. a boost controller will not lower boost beyond what the wg can handle. it can only raise boost.

I'm pretty sure your gonna here alot of, "Port the wastegate, it's not that hard or expensive." But I'de be kinda interested in this too if there are any alternatives or if a boost controller does effectivaly control boost. But your gonna want to do something or to your motor.

And as mentioned a boost controller won't help at all.

Fuel cut does not cause a lean condition. To have a lean condition you have to have combustion. No fuel = no combustion.
