Is there any problem with putting my BOV directly next to my FMIC core?

Is there any problem with putting my BOV directly next to my FMIC core?
I recently purchased an Ebay IC core that's 32" in total length to go with my Greddy V-Spec piping.
I was hooked up with a great deal on the piping and TB elbow from a friend (turbine) because his Greddy core was stolen, so he had to buy a whole new kit, therefore leaving an extra set of piping.
So yeah, I tried my best to get a core in similar length to the Greddy core, but the best I could do (without going overboard) was the one I purchased, which is 4" shorter in total length (32" as opposed 36") than the Greddy core. Anyways, I knew I was going to have to do a little bit of "stretching" to make everything work...
My question is; I also purchased a flange off of Ebay for my BOV that's basically a 6" long, 3" diameter aluminum pipe with a BOV flange welded onto it... I'm thinking that since I need to fill in my missing 4" with something, I could just stick this pipe in-line somewhere, therefore eliminating the need to pay someone to TIG weld a flange on for my BOV... However, the only place where I can practically find room to place it, is directly after the IC outlet (on the cold-side) and before pipe 3 of the Greddy kit... Make sense? Pretty much right after the IC.
So yeah, will this be an OK location? Obviously it's kind of a ridiculous spot to put a BOV (behind the front bumper), but do you guys think the BOV's performace will suffer, either from the vac. line feeding the BOV having to be so long, or from...?
So yeah, thanks.
BTW, this is in no way final, and if I were *forced* to I could probably find somewhere else to put it. However, this will be the easiest place to wedge this 6" pipe in.

well personally i like having my BOV as close to the TB and i can get. i know with the longer vac line you will have a slower reacting BOV, it could casue some surge before opening and closing.. im not 100%. bu tif i were you i would spend the lil extra money to get it done right the first time.. but i guess its easy for me to say since i have a guy down the street from me that said he will do all th etig welding i need. but i would definatally set it up the right way the first time.. saves the hassle later.. just my .02

it really doesnt matter where it is on the intake track..... and the whole vacuum system is under pressure anywyas, so if you have a longer vacuum line, the bov will open miliseconds later, not even noticable..... there is a pro drift car that has the bov on the left front openeing of the front bumper... right next to the intercooler.....
its all about preference.... put it where you want it, but for adjustment purposes, and maintenance, id recommend keeping it easily accessible and away from the front of the car in case debree from the road hits it

i have a stock intercooler front mounted for i didnt want to buy a turbo II hood. i welded an aluminum tube into the longer neck on the intercooler and stuck my stock bov on it the vaccum line is long. i ran it from a T at the map sensor. but it works well.. no problems so far
