Do most people remove the thermal wax when using a standalone ems?
If so what do you do with the line that goes from the water pump to the TB?
Next I have a 13b-re would it be ok to run the line that originaly fed the thermal wax to the turbo (originaly water outlet), and then go from the tubro (originaly water inlet) to the block where the thermal wax used to outlet.
The net effect of this would be feeding the turbo backwards with coolant, and runing the lines that normaly would have fed the termal wax to the turbo instead.
Thanks,,,

Forgot to add, please let me know if this is a stupid idea or what?
Of course if the thermal wax is needed, or recomended when using a standalone than I guess this question is pointless,
Thanks,,

I've installed several standalones with the thermowax before. Note that I'm speaking of the thermowax and cold start cam assembly, not the thermowax valve that controls the secondary throttles.
It's useful if you are not installng a BAC valve. If you have such a valve, then you can configure your standalone to use the valve as cold start and remove the thermowax.
The coolant hose would just be routed to the thermowax and back to the block, bypassing the BAC area completely.
