Hey all. The site was down for ~2 days. Sorry about that. Unfortunately a car hit the electrical pole outside of John's house and knocked out the internet hook-up for a day and a half.

New Business to add here- The TII we have here has just gotten an ECU and an AFM. If the car is not blown it will get to be the first tester for our Turbo II Cold Air Intake. If not then I will have to find some of you all to take a risk and be the first testers. At a discount ofcoarse Also the website will be changine URL's and Layouts within some weeks or a month since the hosting where it is at now is not going to remain UP for much longer. I am plunking down some cash for a Domain Name and am probably going to be setting up my PC as the temporary server untill I can build one to be a stand alone server. Johnathan also wants to add a "message forum" to the site where you all could ask any and all questions and get answers faster and have a place to look for other FAQ's and such. I am also begining to compile the stock intake, cone intake, shielded cone, and CAI data to make a READABLE chart that isn't confussing. I hope that the response to the Turbo II intake is a bit better than the N/a intake as that is basically dead in the water as of now untill more people step up.

Here is a sneak peak at what John and I picked out for the new layout. I hope this will make it easier to navigate the site as it will eliminate the elusive drop down menu and go for a set of buttons on the left hand side.

Do you have the intake for the cold chute pointed forward? How do you avoid getting road debris in the tube?

NO the new design hasn't been photographed. The filter is in front of the radiator/oil cooler behind the grill area. That picture is just used to give a vaugue example of where the filter is located at.

Am i missing something? Why does everyone who makes a "cold air" intake neglect to retain the OEM cold air device that comes on the car. I.E the black tube laying on the radiator..... Believe it or not but the factory system was enginnered quite well. I am all for the Cold air intake but for $200 I can make anyone an intake that looks better then that. And i will I'll post when i'm done.............No offense...........BRING ON THE FLAME!!!

Lets see here....

The Rubber hose has fold/ribs in it that make it more turbulent as air passes over it slowing it down. I could have made it with the black hose but its pointless for my car since I don't need the lines on it.

That intake is a prototype and the pics taken of it are what weeks old maybe a month or two. A lot of people keep talking about the filter, bcouplers, etc. what you see is the first one that I made. I haven't had time yet to take pics of the new one becuase 1) it kept raining so I can't take my camera out there and get soaked. 2) I have school, job, and work on my car to keep me busy. If you feel you can make a CAI go ahead I can't stop you.

Ok I messed up here and read too fast like usuall.

The stock tube is only going to work if it is sealed.
I have tested the stock intake agains the CAI and it doesn't work as well there is a 20-40* drop from stock to CAI on warm days. More on cool days. The people that make "cold air boxes" don't know it but it essentially cooks the air because of heat soak. Hopefully I can figure out how to make a graph comparing all four setups to each other so you all can see what I mean with the temps.

Anyways Sorry about the mistake.

The pop-ups are going away ASAP we are actually working on setting up the new REAL domain name right now. Jon is just doing some work on my PC to make it be the server for the website/forum.

Sorry about the pop-ups again they will go away with the old domain name.

I told him on another forum that U-bend was only about $20

Here's a pic of mine.....

Cone drops into where the windshield washer resevoir was (hardly used that windshield washer anyhow).

Ok there is NO way a U-bend with a 3" diameter is 20 dollars. Even locally they are sold for 30 bucks. Online they go for ~24-30 from where I looked. But the point to that is that Shipping and handling charges make the price more than that.

My purpose and intent is to fill the gap from say check point and DIY'ers. Not everyone knows how to weld or cut proper angles to make it work just right. Some people just don't know how to MAKE things. That is where I come in. I do make things and am fully willing to do this for others. Just like anyone can go out and buy resin and Carbon fiber or any other composite. Not everyone can do it properly or cheaply either. This is why we have people on here making CF hoods and so forth. If you don't want to buy an intake you don't have to. I am not going to shoot you. It’s a choice. Think about the attitudes you all are taking. And then think about all the people that say "there isn't cool stuff for the FC" guess why that is? Yep people not wanting to pay for things. I am a DIY'er just like some of you all but not all care about measuring bends at specific angles so your AFM can sit within 15* of level. I also tried to make it so that there is as little CUTTING which is what you "white seven" did which I personally don't approve of. I don't want to ask someone to remove a functional part of their car. Without windshield washers to clear away dirt and crud what do you do when your car's windshield is dirty and your driving at say ~65mph in the middle lane of the highway in thick traffic? You’re pretty much screwed in that situation. My intake requires only MINIMAL trimming of a bracket on the radiator not boring a whole into the fender well.

And to add to that it’s a BUSINESS the point is to make PROFIT. I have to add a little money for my time research and money spent making, testing, and development of an easy to use website and forum. (If it wasn't for Jon being my friend and helping me out there would be no such website) I am trying to help anyone that doesn't want to spend the time on their own and you all come with this to me? Thanks a lot guys. What friendship the forum brings.

Thankyou Butguano.

The new Domain is already bought. It is just setting up for the new IP address.

So it will be www.aztechrotary.com

Dyno sessions this week guys!!!

I am very confident in what I will get from it. Atleast speaking from "butt" dyno experience.

Ok I don't think I have posted this on this forum yet but here goes.

I found a Dyno in town so guess what.

I have commissioned some time to get on that dyno this week and I will be doing several runs with all the different intakes and asking for a printout or a file for each dyno graph and hopefully make an average of each intake setup's HP numbers.

I just hope nothing breaks from today till friday. :/ I am running my FC now again because my beater car sprung an oil leak. I was planing on letting the FC "rest" for the dyno but now I have no choice but to use her before I go to the dyno session. I am going to try and get a video camera but I don't know anyone that has one I could borrow.
