Temp gauge not working

I have a eletric fan in my car. After i wired it to the ignition the temp gauge isnt work. Did i unhook something in the process of installing it. If so where do i reinstall it at? im not very good at wiring.

Firstly, your fan should not be wired to the the ignition. It should be fed from the battery via a fuse and relay, with the relay switch by an adjustable temp switch.

Exactly how did you wire it up? You should not be anywhere near the temp gauge wiring for this. Mkae sure sure the wire is still connected to the gauge's sender.

Ill take pictures tommarow of it, I changed the cluster out and i made sure everything was hooked up. But it wasnt working before i changed the cluster either. I dont think it got hooked back up. I didnt do it i had my friend do it for me, im horriable with eletrical stuff. Id end up blowing out every light,fuse,speaker in the car if i messed with it.
