It's like the difference between night and day compared to other common coilover setups for the FC. The 240sx is a close match handling-wise vs. the FC. A buddy of mine has them on his 240 and the car DOES NOT loose contact with the road or put you in that "grey area" of uncertainty when pushed *really* hard.
The first time I drove his 240 with them, I was sold before we got out of the neighborhood. After taking a tight 270 downward offramp at 90MPH with them set on #1 (of 16) with the car asking for more, I was certain Teins would find their way to my car.
My roommate just bought a set for his 10AE after taking a ride in the 240. If you can find someone who has a set, take a ride and all your questions will be answered.

That roommate would be me....
They're really top quality - mine just came in the mail today.
Tein actually put their homework into finding the right spring and damper setups to get the most out of the car. You end up with a total package that all goes together, not hoping the springs and the damper will cooperate and play nice.
Quality is second to none - comes with everything, clear instructions (you can download the US instructions from the US website - http://www.tein.com), and it's a *bolt on*. No cutting/drilling/hacking required.
I got the Tein HA's with the pillowball mounts for $1350 shipped. Can't beat it. http://www.turboevo.com was the source, GREAT to work with, just e-mail them with what you need.
There are even better Japanese suspension solutions, but for what I want (a killer street and autocross car, *maybe* a track event someday) the Teins fit the bill and the budget.

Does the kit eliminate the rear-stear?
Thanks, you guys have been a lot of help already!

The link that dale gave has the HA's for $1350 shipped, but for some reason, the Tein section is 404ing. You might wanna give them a call and get a quote.

Yeah, Turbo Evolution's website is horrible. E-mail them for whatever you want - I got both my Greddy intercooler and my Tein's from them, and absolutely loved the quality of service. It's wonderful to get a really good price on something, and have it backed up with fantastic service.
If you're just looking to have a nice handling street car with an occasional autocross (as my car is), the HA's are plenty. If you're looking to seriously compete in autocross or do lots of track events, you might want to look at something with more gusto - either the RA's or the JIC coilovers. Be realistic with what you want the car to do - if you end up with overkill for what you need, you may find you have too much to tune and have too stiff of a setup to enjoy.
The nicest thing with the HA's to me is they still ride VERY well, and the car feels very solid. There's no creaking, clanking, whatever coming from the coilovers - it sounds and feels tight and solid, which is a big plus in my book. I don't want my car to feel like it's riding on something I brewed up in the backyard - I want it to feel top quality. The Tein's have that in *spades*.
The price does seem kinda high, but if you price out buying everything separately (shocks, coilovers, camber plates, pillow ball mounts) it's REALLY close. Not to mention there is NO fabrication required - it comes with every piece and part you need. The attention to detail is killer - it even comes with a little plastic stand you put under your exhaust to set a minimum ride height for the car (to keep you from scraping!). The little extras like that are what make Japanese products so killer.

I'll have a Coke!
do the pillow ball mounts make that much of a difference in ride comfort and performance? Because i would think that would be an issue when going to a high performance shock and spring setup.

I wouldn't bother unless you're getting the pillow ***** as well. The stock mounts have a LOT of slop, and are typically VERY worn out on a 100,000+ mile car. Either get new stock mounts ($$$) or get the pillowballs.
