Angry Taking apart taillight

I have a spider crack in one of my series 5 taillights on the indicator. Now my question is, has anyone tried taking apart the light itself as it looks like the indicator part is seperate from the brake light assembly. I just can not seem to be able to pull the lense away from the backing.

Its got hot glue in there. Stick em in the oven for a few minutes and theyll pull free easily.
