Take a look at this turbo for me guys
Hey,
Im looking to buy a used s5 turbo off another member and at first glance this turbo looked allright to me but then i looked a little harder at the rear compressor wheel of the turbo (i thkn thats what they call it) looks like the fins are severly clipped. Take a look at it its wierd. The pic is also pretty shitty and it might just be the light but before i get this thing which is said to be working take a look at this pic for me guys.
Thanks.

Used turbos are a gamble unles you have them pull the hotside off and maybe the compressor to get a good view at the stuff.
Here is a common and bad problem seen on the hotsides. The crack when heated will protrude and then start munching up the exhaust fins.
You can't see this crack unless you remove the hotside.
The compressor was harder for me to ID. My turbo builder after cleaning found that it was too pitted to use(from debri hitting it and salt water corrosion type thing).
