Tachometer problems in cold weather

This weekend I went to VIR for my first track event. Saturday morning, the first day, I notced that when I started the car to head to the track (it was very cold in the am) my tach didnt register until the car was fully warmed up further down the road.

This problem happened with the same situation on the next day. Would this have anything to do with the solder points on the gauge cluster itself getting to cold, or is it something totally different? It doesnt seem to be a big deal, but I wouldn't mind straightening this out to make sure it doesnt quit working for good.

Thanks

Jake

cold solder joints in the tach or loose screws on the back of the gauge cluster if the problem is only on the tach
