T2 motor sell on ebay question
Sorry if this is the wrong section please move if it is.
Anyone have any exsperince with this guy? Link
i was looking at getting a T2 engine from him but wanted to know if any of yall have had any experience with him.
He seems nice enough and i have been in contact with him concerning the engine. But 800.00 for a low milage motor, tranny, and wiring harness seems kinda cheap to me. And i know you get what you pay for so....

hes had that engine on there for quite some some.. or has multiples. This is the guy that I talked to when I was looking for a TII engine. He wouldnt give me a compression reading. The 30 day running guarantee doesnt do much for ya. The motor will run with 80psi, just wont last very long. If you plan on rebuilding it, go for it.

I thought this was a better deal as long as you plan or rebuilding... 650.00 + shipping (it was 250.00 to MI) http://www.osakajdmmotors.com/

i havnt asked him for a compression reading sense theres no way to tell if he is lieing or not about it. i was using it for a swap since i need a rebuild on my 13b engine, it would be about the same price to do a complete swap then it woul to do a rebuild on it. he said he had multiples of this engine. the 30day thing i would do a compression test on it and if the numbers were good id keep it if they were bad id get my money back from him on it.

Just get it expecting to rebuild it in a few months unless you do something stupid to it like boost creep it to death and blow it up. The jspec in my TII right now has been running for about almost 2 months. And during that time frame, I have pushed the car like over 30 times to show all my friends and family one by one how a rotary feels, and i still have the same compression of 95psi on both rotors. So it is possible for it to run good.
