and i was gonna unflood it but no one ever specifies which egi fuse to disconnect the 30A or the 40A?
specs:
88 T2
ngk wires
ngk BUR9EQ & BUR7EQ
rebuilt street ported 13bt
s5 exhaust manifold (not connected)
stock ecu(but i have an rtek in the mail)
rc engineering rebuilt 550cc injectors
hks intake filter (isnt connected as stated above)
i have more parts but theyre all comin in the mail
so i figure it wouldnt matter
like i said i just wanted to start the motor cause i wasnt sure if it ran or not(the guy i bought it from seemed shady)

Go under the FAQ and it show the cover of the fuses so you can tell which one. Yes the MAF is proabably why it wont stay running and you are not the only one who has dumped oil all over the ground cranking a car over with out a turbo
. Get the turbo on and the MAF and un flood it and you should be good to go. The best way to do it is to pull the plugs out(good time to clean them with some carb cleaner and a fine wire brush) crank the engine over(untill all the gas mists out) without the fuse and hold the gas so the oil metering pump pumps oil into the engine to help build compression and it will start. Easy way if it is a little flooded then pull the fuse and crank it over with the pedal to the floor. And yes the MAF is the big metal flapper thing that goes on the turbo and there should be a black connector for it. Good luck

thought so on that maf, well i have the fusebox cover that tells me which is which and all the fuses right its just everyone says "take out the egi fuse" when theres two so i dont ever know. one is egi something(30A) and the other is egi inj(40A).
and what size socket takes out the spark plugs on the rx? i havent had a reason to take em out on my vert or my T2, i went to autozone and of course they couldnt figure out what size would fit on the plug so the guy told me to get one they used and i got it and it didnt fit :\
thanks for the help though, ima have to try it tomorrow hopefully if this rain goes away

It is a 13/16 spark plug socket the thinner the wall the better. The egi inj is the one you take out. No problem always feels good to help out a fellow rx7 owner you coming down to the MD BBQ if your not too far away seems like it is going to be a good turn out. More info in the NE section.

yeah it will do exactly what it did there with no air flow meter hooked up, the air flow meter is the primary load sensing device on the 2nd gen rx7's and they will not run with out them.. they will sometimes start but die out after a second with no afm... but that will flood the engine easily which is probably what has happend now...
