I'm not Ted, but with my experience with the 60-1 .70 compressor 1.0 hotside at 1.0kilos boost, 850 primaries, 1600 secondaries, fpr, walboro pump...yep...ran GREAT!

You can back out the math easily on this...
2x720 + 2x1600 = 1440 + 3200 = 4640
4640 x 80% = ~3700
3700 cc/min = 3.7lpm
3.7lpm x 60 = 222lph
The Walbro can flow at 255lph, so this should be fine.
The put the Walbro conservatively at 300hp to the wheels.

How does the Walboro compare to the RP competition pump?
It has been rumored to be the JZA80 fuel pump.&nbsp Bottom line, it's a rip compared to the Walbro.&nbsp If you need high fuel demands, you can run two Walbros in parallel; the JZA80 guys do this supporting over 700hp!&nbsp See here for Walbro versus JZA80 ND fuel pump comparo:

The noise from the fuel pump is highly dependent on how the fuel pump is mounted.&nbsp The stock fuel pump is basically "floating" on the bracket, as it's locked in with a rubber isolator on the bottom and connected at the top by with the fuel hose.&nbsp Those complaining of noise from the Walbro either don't have it installed right, or using a hose clamp to clamp it to the bracket.&nbsp This allows a lot of fuel pump noise to transmit to the chassis.&nbsp I had the Walbro fuel pump on my '87 Turbo II, and most people could not hear it.

I don't here any noise with my Walbro 255 hi-pressure. Also, you are going to be running SUPER RICH if you don't get some kinda fuel control device on your car. I'm getting an S-AFC to control my pump. Right now its running SO rich the car stutters right before the secondaries kick in and again at the high rpms. Its pretty much undrivable right now.

Thats why you get a WOLF 4.0, then fuel control isnt an issue!

ok...this may be a dumb question, but why not just install a pop off valve or get some sort of boost controller before any of these mods that seem so infamous for causing boost creep?

A pop-off valve should be considered a safety device only, not a boost control device. Hitting it overspeeds the turbo, so you want to be doing this as little as possible.
No boost controller can lower boost; they can only raise it.
A suitable sized wastegate is really the only solution. With the S4 turbo, that means some serious porting or getting a S5 turbo/manifold.

NZConvertible...thanks for the response.
so in the scenario's listed above (occasional boost) would a pop off valve be the appropriate solution? it would seem that the right approach here would be some sort of turbo upgrade with a snazy external wastegate...bet that would be fairly pricey tho.

just port your wastegate, get a reliable boost gauge and utilize some self control.
