Unhappy surging/killing at higher temps

allright first off it's an 86 NA 180,000 miles on the ticker, on it's 4th motor. The motor just replaced/rebuilt by myself (thank you thank you), the motor has less than 10,000 miles on it now, rebuild with new 2piece 2mm apex seals. New plugs, wires.

Anyway my problem is that with these summer temps, my car gets REAL funny driving, not at idle but w/ load on the motor, allow me to elaberate:

My car starts fine, never flooded once, it will run fine, and it will run fine at temp for a while. If I sit in traffic for more than I'd say 5 min, I will notice a stutter (or miss) at, and once and a while, above 4000 rpm. Then as the car continues to sit in traffic, when i get moving again it will stutter (or miss) on the entire RPM range, once it starts on that, if I press the Accelerator to far the engine feels like it dies altogether, then starts jerking violently. Overall when it gets warm in traffic <-(unaviodable) it jerks violently on the entire RPM range.

any help????

I consider myself extreamly knowledgable in the ways of the RX7, but this is something I cannot figuer out. Thanks

One other thing is my temp gadge is usually always 1/3 up from C on the road, when I sit in traffic it is in the middle, I have seen it up near H before but that was with a different motor so i know the temp gadge is working

#1 get a real temp gauge. but the stock one for 86 should never get over 1/3 or so. 1/4 normal. H means the motor is gone.

4th motor!!??. with 180k on an N/A you should still be on #1...

cool thanks for your input but that doesn't help dude? Yep thanks for the obvious shi*face, I know H means the motor is dead, thats why # 3 is dead, can we stop beating a dead cow!! I just asked a question, why be a smart ***?
