supra owner needs some convincing

hi,
im a supra owner and im absolutely in love with my car.. lately i've been giving it some serious thought and ive come up with some solutions to my unrest.. i've always been a huge fan of the rotary engine and to be completly honest, i would be driving an FC right now if it werent for the fantastic deal i got on my supra. I have concidered buying a dirt cheap FC and make it my project .. the thing is i dont really know enough about the specifics of rx7's to form an educated opinion.. so i've come to the rx7 forums in search of some convincing. what kind of problems are common with fc's? what have people done as far as restoring a ~$500 rx-7? what would convince me to buy an rx7?

Well, there are so many answers. I can answer a few, since my neighbor has a MKIII supra. I think thats right. Im in the middle of a project myself. I picked up my Rx7 for $800 with a blown motor. It needs paint, but no body work. A common problem is maitnence. Youll blow engines if you dont maintain the car religously, and if you dont upgrade properly. Another common problem is the pulsation dampner, if its leaking your engine will probably catch fire. The ECU usually needs re-soldering...I could go on and on, if I could remember more. Im sure youll get alot of things ive missed from others who will post.
