Supercharger vs. Turbo

In order to achieve what you are looking for, you would need something like the Antonov 2-speed supercharger:

haha, yea, i wish i had the money for 2 fc's, let alone actually having 2 fc's. like i said before, i am pretty much sold on the idea of a turbo ( i kinda already was before i made this thread.) i am currently negociating with another forum member who is interested in buying my s/c with its extras. if he doesnt get it, its going to the f/s section, if it doesnt sell within the month, im just throwin that bitch back on the car!!
hahaha if i could afford the s/c id take it off ur hands nao for my na. but sadly i dont atm. hopefully i might get the money but well see ^^

Evil: hell yes, those 2-speeds are awesome!
epic: yea, like i said i am currently talking to a guy and there are two others behind him! the first guy is serious and has already given me an offer (a bit under what im looking to get), but i havent really talked to the other 2 guys so i dunno how serious they are.

The problem with bleeding off P2 is that the compressor has already gone through all the work of compressing the gas. This work takes a lot of horsepower from the drive system and heats the air much more than necessary. Therefore, using a simple 2:1 bleed ratio as an example, you would end up with only 10 psi worth of manifold pressure at the cost of 20 psi worth of compression heat and drive system loss... not good. This is why turbochargers are controlled with wastegates on the exhaust turbine end rather than on the compressor end.

I understand exactely what you're saying with the wastegates though and how they work by bypassing the restriction and the excess boost/heat created on the compressor side and more importantly I understand how they *could* be made to be more effeicent.

I know you've already thrown your FS ad up, but I think a 10-12 psi supercharged rotary with Meth injection on High compression N/A rotors, ported 6-port engine would be BADASS! I mean, for the moment, all it will cost you is the rebuild (obviously), some form of engine management and some AI, all things that will carry you over for if/when you decide to turbo it. Don't assume that the higher compression rotors don't fair well with boost, look at Aaron's turbo High-comp. motor, it's making some good power on those suckers! Just some food for thought, it will likely cost you the same to sell the kit, buy the turbo and all the other goodies you will need anyways, but the turbo will have more capability and room for more power. This is all depending on if you sell your supercharger kit easily/for what you want.

very true. at first i believed it would be very easy to sell this setup. i have went threw two buyers already tho who are not willing to meet my asking price. i think now i will either have to take a hit on the price or just wait it out which sucks cuz i got the motor back about a week ago and have already started buying parts for the turbo build... hey since you think its so badass why dont you buy it?? shoot me a pm if your interested!
