Lol, nice...

skydivr73 04-21-03 01:38 PM

someone asked if anyone has tried to email him on this....I did it about a month ago, and still have gotten no response. Also--I find this a little funny, don't you?

a quote from his letter above:

"2.) I am still working on the supercharger, although, as time
permitts, with the extreme weather we have had up here in north east
PA - another 20" of snow hit us yesterday. The Bahamas are looking
pretty darn nice right about now!"

has ANYONE looked at the photos on the link that was listed in the same post as his letter?? The company is in WYOMING. He has been telling us all this time that he owns this company, that it's HIS company, yet it is a thousand miles from where he is?? this just doesn't add up...also--I seem to recall at the beginning of this thread somewhere that Frank told us that this is NOT your typical "let's try it and hope it works" project, and that he had "off the shelf" capability! I will hafta check on that one, but I am pretty sure he told us he has these units already built and it was just a matter of developing the system in the car. Since he had the BDT units, and he has the rx7 himself, what would he need all that "research funding" for? I know that there would obviously be some cost, but we were led to believe it was MUCH less than that....

Blitz0309 04-21-03 07:11 PM

Just let the thread die....

Silverbullet 05-13-03 03:41 PM

deadRX7Conv 05-13-03 04:25 PM

Its never gonna die!

Probably figured that there is more profit developing this SC for all those newer torqueless imports and compact domestics that are STILL being sold.

LOCK THE THREAD PLEASE !! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD !!! PLEASE!!!

zaridar 05-15-03 12:22 AM

Is this super harger your talking about electric or gas powered? It seems you said that it is powered by fuel which would be kind of a pain in the ass

Liquid Anarchy 05-15-03 01:42 AM

ICEMARK!!! WE BEG YOU!!! END THIS THREADS MYSERY AND LOCK IT FOR GOOD!!!

Phu5ion 05-15-03 10:51 AM

Yes, plz lock this thread.

tweaked 05-30-03 04:40 PM

I just like looking at Phu5ion's avitar.
I was like most of you and very excited about this thread when it started. but about 3 weeks later when he never gave any updates I know it was BS. I did my own research on the Tesla disk. it seems easy and simple, but I don't think it is aplicable for this aplication.
Now then. lock the thread and then delete it. so as not to destroy the hopes of any other poor souls.

Trav 05-30-03 04:43 PM

dude! it was 2 weeks dead already and then you revived it!!! :(

Liquid Anarchy 08-04-03 02:52 PM

banzaitoyota 08-05-03 09:10 AM

It boils down too...

Mad scientist inventor, good intentions, no money, wants $$$$, comes a trolling for a while, finds no money, disappears.

You forgot the part about having absolutely no idea how an internal combustion engine works, or how to control it. ;)

MasteRX 08-05-03 02:56 PM

I dont browse the forum as much as I used to. But it always throws me off when I do happen to be browsing the forum and someone has resurrected a thread that began a year ago. I almost wish there was a section of the forum where these old ass threads can be moved to, so the people who still want to beat a dead horse can do so as they wish.

Damn!!! My Alzheimers must be catching up with me!.

SureShot 08-05-03 03:20 PM

The short version:

A very efficient electric fan could make some boost, but it would still require serious power to run it.
(Like what the starter draws.)

"He is working on the plugs to make it out of Carbon Fiber

I'm laughing my ass off @ "unobtanium"!

RoninAutoBoX 08-08-03 07:14 AM

I won't buy a Tesla supercharger unless it is made by Tesla himself! *kicks dirt* Ptooie!

They were bought by the Government and the prototype has been locked away next to the Ark of the Covenant.

CrackHeadMel 08-10-03 11:29 AM

Well someone make one for Rx7 Club damit

http://www.frank.germano.com/

Trav 08-10-03 05:03 PM

I would say that hopefully this news will kill this thread, but it's unlikely. :(

We need a new forum called 'pipe dreams'. We can move all of the "I'm making custom CF parts" threads and this one to that forum.

i,m interested keep me posted ray1@rochester.rr.com

ponykiller 09-24-03 03:44 PM

shouldn't someone email this guy and tell him that this IS NOT HAPPENING? That if he would have read the last seven posts he would have figured that out?

Trav 09-24-03 06:12 PM

hey, I know... someone post a bunch of nude pictures so we can get this thread locked!! :)

trumper_82072 10-26-03 11:31 AM

I Have to admit to skipping 16 pages or so and as any of you old timers can read I am new to this group. I owned a 87 turbo II at 18 loved it! I am out the door soon to try and pick up a 86? White rims? But any way one problem I read in the beginning was a controller unit. What about your cheap air compresser for 5 and 6 port tweaks? And hey who cares about second alternator maybe in place of A/C or power steering pump. Or any of the other options bass boomers have developed. I am sure I am way off base as I have read info from people much more inteligent than I but sometimes its the simple ideas people overlook. Nomatter what I thought it sounded great and maybe it can still be done. WITH OR WITHOUT SCAMMER! Buy the way I visited his site and it took me about 30 seconds to see someone was fishing! Ha Ha tooo bad!

$100T2 10-26-03 04:54 PM

In before the lock!

Anyone notice he's putting God next to Tesla? LOL

CrackHeadMel 10-26-03 07:34 PM

someone should try making one of these, hell id give it a try if i had the time, it seemed pretty promising

$100T2 10-26-03 07:46 PM

You know, it would be promising if someone could just make the internals for a turbo out of it, instead of the whole "electric motor" thing... But yeah, I always figured the guy was fishing for money.

DelSlow 10-26-03 09:02 PM

someone needs to delete this damn thread
