Question Super Lame Question about interior

Are the gauge clusters bezel "surrounding plastic" and their accompanying switches (wiper / lights / turn signals) compatible between S5s and S4s?

the plastic is different, but it will swap over. the light switch is different, i would not be surprised if all the other ones are also different.

the switches all mount the same too, so you can swap s4/s5 surround/bezels

Apart from the redline difference between the S4 and S5 guages, there are also different models for the various switches...even within the S4 models for instance. I have a complete list somewhere but if you pull the turn signal switch out of an 86 GXL for instance, they model # on the back and I believe the plug is different from a S5.

turn signal switches do not interchange. ie a s4 will not fit in an s5 bezel and vice versa also the connectors are the same but da wiring is different

the surrounds and most (if not all) of the switches are different. you can probably make them work between series but you would want to check the wiring diagrams.
