stumped! issues with new engine
First issue. When first starting i did not have a tach signal. but when i pulled the EGI INJ fuse out the signal would come back up, and when i put it back in there would be no tach signal again.
Now there is a constant tach signal. but the idea that it fixed itself really bothers me.
Second issue. Car is not idling and running very rich causing it to flood constantly. 720cc primary and secondary with rtek 1.8.
Third Issue. Car misfires constantly.
Now things i have tried to fix the issue.
Changed both trailing and leading coil packs.
Changed CAS.
Removed MSD
Checked Fuel Inj ground.
Timing is correct
Engine has compression
The car is
S4 TII stock engine.
Removed Emissions
Rtek 1.8
720cc primary
720cc secondary
Rb turboback
S5 manifold
S5 Turbo
Koyo Rad
MSD 6A
Disabled OMP
Im thinking about changing the wiring harness now. But![Dunno](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/dunno.gif)
This set up worked fine before this engine. Onno whats wrong now.

1- Don't bump in the tech section, Im suprised the mod's havent been after you yet...
2- Check for vacuum leaks
3- Check the condition of the wiring for your tach if it comes back and disappears frequently, which may also be representative of the trailing coil not grounding well (especially due to misfires, and the tach gets it's signal from the trailing coil.) If you have recently painted the engine bay, then be mindful that the coils ground to the body of the car directly through contact with it. Make sure there is a good unpainted metal surface under the coils.

I have had the same type of problem.
I am sure it is injector Related.Where did you get your injectors, and are they CLEAN?.
I had a set of 700 primaries in and the car would not do squat.it ran terribble, and it was like the Ebrake was on.I threw the stock 550's back in and it runs "ok"..I am assuming the 700s were dirty.,There was no spray out the Plug holes when I rolled the engine over with the Plugs out.(no fine Mist at all.).Check that out.
