Rob, the next time I'm anywhere near Long Island, I'd like to come check out your ride.
Hyper & Clokker, the same goes for you if I'm on the Left Coast or half way inbetween.
And I've friends in all three places, so it could happen.
Aloha,

it transfers alot of vibration into the car, it is one of those things that take away from the comfort of the car. I can hear people now saying the car is not comfortable but solid mounts, torque bars on strut bars, really loud exhausts all transfer vibrations into the car resulting in a car that gets tiring to drive.

Stock mounts are good enough, comp mounts are better but wont kill the car.

part 39-0400-FBY1 http://mazdatrix.com/getprice.asp?partnum=39-0400-FBY1

people dicked with hocky pucks and other fixes when there were no alternatives, buy the correct part and bolt it in if you value your car and your free time.

A stiffer set of mounts should solve your problem. I run poly mounts in my s5 and the vibrations aren't bad in my opinion. They do get noticeably worse when you also do the trans mounts though. The other thing about the mounts is that depending on the design biscuit) they also limit the engine from lifting and only allow for compression.

Yeah that's correct. I have the trans mounts and I dig them, so that's what I was gonna go with.

So I tried to adjust the bar today to see if I could get more clearance and it's still like an 1/8th of an inch from the cap, which is too close for me. So I'm going to look into another bar. Thoughts?
