alright lets see if anyone has any info....me and glen suspect the same thing but lets see what everyone else things for ***** and giggles
1) i have oil pressure under boost and builds at higher rpm but as soon as as much as 1psi of boost builds, oil pressure drops by 20-30+psi, there is also medium smoking on idle and rev's
2) engine is running really rich on the haltech so some smoke could be from the fuel...i mean its rich.... but there is def oil in that smoke
3) constant high temps to the point where it will overheat if i dont turn it off, water pump was taken off and cleaned, there is small pitting on the face where the pump impeller seats but nothing real serious...fan clutch is in working condition so thats not an issue either
4) after getting to what should be normal running temps, 180-190degrees, and i turn it off, even the smallest drop of water on the turbo will sizzle and evaporate, i dont see that its glowing red hot because i always check in the daytime but it is retarded hot
5) the turbo is suggested to be a bnr turbo but i havent confirmed this yet, it does have oil inlet and return fittings (obviously) and it has water inlet and return lines
CONCLUSION:
could the turbo be on its way out (thats my guess) and be heating up so much that it is heating the coolant/putting air in the system that would be causing the overheating issues?
