Stock CD Player

Was wondering if the stock cd player from a 88 rxl or any rx7 but mainly a 88 played burned cds?

I'm not sure but i doubt that the technology at the time allowed for CDR's or CDRW's.

I've got an 89 pioneer cd player setup that doesn't like burned cd's. It does't like cd's at all really, let alone burned ones. Some burns it will play continuously from the start but don't try and skip tracks as it freezes up and most cds won't play unless you're on track one. If I turn the car off with a cd on say, track 10, it wont start the next time I try to play it cuz it tries to leave off where you left it. The moral of the story... yes and no. These players suck but its fun to tell people you have a cd player thats from 1989. Most say "I didn't even know they had cd players then."
